OPENRANGE / BEFORE BUYING A PROP CHALLENGE

Before the challenge.
Do the checking.

A discount code is not a rulebook. Understand the exact program, account stage, charges and loss conditions before deciding whether to buy an evaluation.

Public lesson preview · Private member curriculum · Education, not trade signals

Your pre-purchase checklist.

  • Exact program and stage: evaluation, simulated account or live account?
  • Loss calculation: balance or equity; static or trailing; intraday or end-of-day measurement?
  • Trading conditions: permitted instruments, size, hours and prohibited activity?
  • Costs: initial payment, recurring charges, resets, data and activation where applicable?
  • Payout conditions: eligibility, waiting periods, limits and continuing restrictions?
  • Exit terms: cancellation, renewal and refund conditions; where are support procedures documented?

Save the current source and review date with your notes. Similar program names do not prove identical rules. If a condition is unclear, ask the provider rather than borrowing an answer from a different account stage.

A fictional budget exercise.

Suppose a teaching example lists an $80 initial charge, one optional $40 reset and a $90 activation fee after qualification. If the learner purchases all three, that is $210 before any other charges. None of those payments guarantees passing or receiving a payout.

Is $80 the total cost in this example?

No. It is only the initial charge. The stated scenario totals $80 + $40 + $90 = $210, before any unspecified costs. Real terms and optional decisions differ.

The numbers are constructed, not a quote from a provider. The lesson is to map possible costs and conditions instead of budgeting from the advertisement alone.

Make “not yet” an available answer.

If the purchase would use money needed for essentials, or if you cannot explain the loss rules, buying an attempt is not the next learning task. Revisit the mechanics and practice first. Do not treat a countdown or promotional price as proof that the program fits.

Our preparation page includes a fictional drawdown demonstration and an original blank worksheet. Use them to identify questions, not to certify readiness.

TAKE THIS INTO THE ACADEMY

Build a game plan before buying an attempt.

The academy connects evaluation concepts to risk arithmetic, execution checks and practice review. The goal is informed preparation—not an automatic pass or payout.

  • Separate evaluation, activation and payout conditions.
  • Read the exact loss-boundary definition.
  • List charges and unresolved questions before a purchase decision.

Clear questions. Useful answers.

Does completing the checklist qualify me for funding?

No. It is an information-gathering checklist. The provider’s actual agreement and your results determine its process; the academy does not award funded accounts.

Are resets part of a learning plan?

A reset is a commercial option where offered, not a replacement for reviewing mistakes. Understand the cost and terms separately from the decision to continue practicing.
